Giaconda Beechworth (Formerly Estate Vineyard) Shiraz 2015
$115.00Jeremy’s score 96/100Dark and smoky, with deep, spicy aromas of plums and berries backed by earthy, mineral notes. Long and deeply flavoured, with length and drive, it seamlessly marries dark fruits with chocolatey oak and meaty undertones, culminating in a measured, savoury finish.

Giaconda Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013
$300.00Jeremy’s score 96/100A supple and fine-grained pinot whose heady, floral perfume of red flowers, red cherries and berries has a dusty, cedary oak-derived note, a hint of musky spice, nuances of dried herbs and a note of Sicilian blood orange. Medium to full-bodied, itÕs long and elegant, with translucently clear core of cherry, plum and berry flavours and tight-knit crunchy tannins backed by a faint meatiness, a hint of clove and fennel. ItÕs likely to build substantial richness before then becoming finer and more savoury as it matures. Reminiscent of the stellar 1989 edition.

Grosset Polish Hill Riesling 2014
$135.00Jeremy’s score 95/100Austere and traditional, waiting to unfold deep layers of fruit and minerality, this faintly toasty and oily riesling has an alluring bouquet of white flowers, apple, pear and like juice backed by suggestions of schist and lavender. ItÕs rich and concentrated with a long and assertive palate of translucent lime juice, apple and pear-like fruit backed by a fine chalkiness and tightly wrapped in a taut acidity, finishing bone-dry and vivacious.

Grosset Springvale Riesling 2014
$120.00Jeremy’s score 95/100Very stylish and generous, with a delicate, slightly subdued floral perfume scented with lime, lemon, apple and pear. Beginning to reveal some smoky, toasty complexity, itÕs classically long and austere, with a mouthfilling but shapely core of apple, pear, white peach and lemony fruit that culminates in a crisp, citrusy acidity, finishing with genuine definition and focus.

Hoddles Creek Estate Pinot Noir 2023
$26.00Jeremy’s score 92/100Brightly lit aromas of raspberries, red cherries, musky spices and a whiff of beetroot are backed by floral scents of red rose petals. It’s supple, gentle and medium-bodied, settling down to reveal pleasing red berry/cherry fruits underpinned by a fine, drying backbone of silky tannins and punctuated by a balanced acidity. It will certainly build more richness and depth over time.

Hoddles Creek Syberia Chardonnay 2022
$72.00Jeremy’s score 94/100A finely crafted and measured chardonnay whose profoundly perfumed and floral bouquet of grapefruit, lemon, white flowers and a whiff of sherbet reveals suggestions of yellow peach, creamy and nutty nuances plus a briney whiff of oyster shell. Its intense core of vibrant fruit iis perfectly offset by its slatey minerality and its dry, almost saline finish. It’s quite outstanding, with a reserved but important contribution from oak and is likely to age beautifully. Today there’s a legion of Australian winemakers trying to achieve by manipulation in the cellar what this wine delivers quite naturally – it’s a pure reflection of its excellent site.

Jane Eyre Tasmania Pinot Noir 2024
$90.00Jeremy’s score 95/100An elegant, stylish and deeply scented pinot noir from the Tamar Valley and Pipers River in northern Tasmania. Laced with a deep perfume of rose petals, musk and red cherries with a whiff of pomegranate, cola and dried herbs. Its gentle cedary oak also underpins its round, almost unctuous palate of medium weight, as its core of red and maraschino cherry extends with suppleness and and mouthcoating intensity down a gentle spine. It finishes long and lively, with lingering notes of red licorice and a vivacious acidity.
