Deep aromas of cassis, mulberries, dark plums and chocolate/cedar/vanilla oak reveal earthy and gravelly undertones plus a whiff of mint and dried herbs. Underpinned by a firm spine of drying, ferrous tannins, it delivers excellent drive, richness and power – all in balance and without any suggestion of over-ripeness.

Underpinned by a fine, plaint texture of crunchy tannins, it’s long and evenly paced, finishing with a lively, measured acidity. Excellent value.
