Returns, refunds and exchanges
The most common fault reported in wine is that of TCA (cork) taint although there are other rare faults that occur in wines under any closure. Our first suggestion is always to open another bottle (should one exist), allow the wine some time to breathe (ideally decanted for an hour) then try again. If the second wine is sound, then the initial one opened is likely faulty and we can arrange a credit or replacement (will vary depending on winery/supplier policy). In all instances we require you to keep the offending wine as a credit or replacement is not possible without it. Our obligation extends to wines wrongly described such as incorrect vintage or bottle size (for example).
If this happens, please contact us at [email protected] and let us know the situation.

We only accept refunds or exchanges based on the faulty policy stated above.
Our recommendation algorithms are the result of 35 years of research to ensure we give the best recommendations, tailored to your taste. These recommendations are based on the wines you tell us you like. Regardless, we understand that each wine is not going to be to the taste of every single person that purchases it. Ironically the more we sell a given wine, the greater the chance that there will be someone out there that doesn’t like it.
We go the extra mile to ensure our recommendations are as accurate as possible. That being said, we do not accept returns if you’ve changed your mind or for wine that is not to your taste.
We recommend giving us purchase feedback on the wines you’ve ordered – whether you like it or dislike it – as this will impact the wines you are recommended in the future.

We’re introducing the world’s finest and most personal wine recommendation software. Most online wine recommendation systems push all buyers towards the same wines – regardless of their unique tastes – since that’s what the retailer is trying to sell. Our system, however, only interprets an individual’s preferences before recommending to them as an audience of one. It’s like having a personal wine drinking coach, free of charge.
Our wine reviews are written by wine expert, Jeremy Oliver. They’re open-minded, honest, and unpretentious, and aim to guide you towards finding the wines you love.
Getting the best results from our recommendation engine is simple. Your recommendations accurately reflect what is in your ‘favourite wines’ list.
Follow these steps to ensure your recommendations are as accurate as possible:
1. Make sure your list of favourite wines is up to date with the wines you currently like
2. The order of the favourites in your list is very important and has a major effect in determining the wines recommended, so please check on this from time to time
3. Ensure that any wine you no longer like has been removed
4. Leave purchase feedback on the wines you’ve tried – whether you like them or not
5. Keep your list of favourites between 10 and 12 wines, otherwise recommendations will be less precise
6. With your favourite wines, don’t double up on the same kind of wine (i.e. listing 5 shiraz wines from the Barossa Valley)

The wines we sell are a curated selection that Jeremy Oliver has chosen to reflect the very best wines from Australia and overseas at every price point. Jeremy tastes and approves every single wine we carry, and also approves every change in vintage for wines we carry in stock.
