Musky scents of white Turkish delight, pear, apple and rose oil reveal a whiff of potpourri. It's long and luscious, evenly paced and mouthfilling; delivering fresh, zesty varietal fruit down a bathpowdery spine before finishing with a lingering nuttiness and a refreshing acidity. Very stylish and expressive.

Winery

One of Tasmania's signature producers, Pipers Brook was right at the forefront in the 1980s - the early days of Tasmanian wine. Established by Andrew Pirie, its early white wines were as sought after as diamonds. Today Pipers Brook regularly produces some of Australia’s most Alsace-like wines from riesling, pinot gris and gewürztraminer. It's also very effective with the Burgundian grapes of chardonnay and pinot noir. Some of the older releases of The Lyre Pinot Noir and The Summit Chardonnay were quite remarkable. It shares its ownership and facilities with the Kreglinger brand of sparkling wine.
