A spicy scent of white peach, apricot and tangerine lifted by musky, floral aromas precede a long and very restrained palate whose shape and restraint present an appealing alternative to the more oily and coarse expression of many viogniers. It's savoury, dry and lively - a positive match for many sweet and spicy Asian dishes.

Clarnette
Leigh Clarnette is an experienced hand at winemaking with a long history in and affection for the wines of western Victoria. For his sins, his time at Roseworthy College (studying winemaking) coincided with mine. His wines are typically made from small individual vineyards whose choice of variety have been strongly influenced by site and aspect. The cornerstone feature of Leigh's modern wines are their elegance, depth of varietal expression, plus a style trait that is more European than so-called traditional Australian. Typically, they deliver in terms of flavour and value.
