Moss Wood Wilyabrup Chardonnay 2008
Sumptuous and heavily worked, this pungent, wild and rather funky chardonnay marries complex meaty aromas of melon, citrus and lifted floral notes with a hint of spice and waxy, nougat-like undertones. Luscious and concentrated, its smooth, creamy palate delivers a rich, faintly candied presence of fruit knit with meaty, reductive influences and savoury aspects, finishing just a little warm, with a barley sugar note.

Moss Wood
Moss Wood occupies a special place in Australian wine. One of the founding vineyards of the Margaret River region, it was the first to establish iconic status, where it was quickly joined by Cullen and Vasse Felix. After some years in which the winemaking and viticulture appear to have lost focus, there are indeed signs of a possible return to Moss Wood's historically expected form. The 2013 Amy's Cabernet Sauvignon has more polish and finesse than several preceding vintages, while the currently available whites from Bordeaux varieties are right on cue.
