Grosset Gaia Cabernet Blend 2010
A long, measured and evenly paced cabernet blend whose lightly herbal and minty aromas of cassis, blackberries, dark plums and chocolate/cedary oak are densely saturated with fruit. ItÕs finely crafted, long and firmish, with a pliant backbone beneath translucent, minty regional flavours of blackberries, dark plums, blueberries and redcurrants, finishing pleasingly fresh and linear. Very well mannered, with plenty of depth, structure and longevity.

Grosset
Grosset is rightly known the world over for the spectacular quality and charm of its two key individual vineyard rieslings, the Polish Hill and the Springvale, both of which are graded with a Five Star rating, the only pair of rieslings from a single maker to achieve this level of recognition. While Grosset's current releases are all of genuine style and quality, I'm paying particular attention to the 2012 Gaia cabernet blend, which is by far the best wine under this label for many a year.
