As you'd expect from Grosset, this is a layered, generous but finely honed fiano built around its vibrant core of pear, apple and white peach-like flavour. There's a hint of spice and bakery yeast about its youthful bouquet, with a note of creamy yeast. Underpinned by a fine, pithy spine, it's long and unctuous, focusing tightly around a refreshing lemony acidity.

Grosset
Grosset is rightly known the world over for the spectacular quality and charm of its two key individual vineyard rieslings, the Polish Hill and the Springvale, both of which are graded with a Five Star rating, the only pair of rieslings from a single maker to achieve this level of recognition. While Grosset's current releases are all of genuine style and quality, I'm paying particular attention to the 2012 Gaia cabernet blend, which is by far the best wine under this label for many a year.
