Alkoomi Wandoo Semillon 2007
An elegant, savoury and briny semillon of surprising youth and freshness. Dusty, herbal scents of melon and gooseberries backed by suggestions of seaweed, sweet toasty vanilla oak and minerals reveal nuances of cloves and butter. ItÕs long and focused, with a fine chalkiness beneath its tangy lime/lemon fruit, becoming quite mineral towards its lively finish of refreshing acidity.

Winery
Alkoomi
Alkoomi was one of the founding vineyards of the Great Southern region. Located in the northern Frankland River sub region, its recent vintages are returning to the style and structure upon which they developed their reputation. Leading the current releases are the Melaleuca Riesling from 2016 (95/100, drink 2028-2036), a wine of classical perfume, purity and longevity, plus the elegant and restrained Blackbutt blend of red Bordeaux varieties from 2010.
