Alkoomi Black Label Chardonnay 2016
Smooth and creamy, this elegant and finely balanced chardonnay is smoky, meaty and reductive, but sufficiently layered in fruit to reveal intense scents of grapefruit backed by complex, nougat-like undertones and spicy notes of clove and cinnamon. ItÕs round and generous, with a mouthfilling depth of fruit and creamy yeast-derived texture that extends over a fine chalkiness towards a bright, tangy finish of lemony acids.

Alkoomi
Alkoomi was one of the founding vineyards of the Great Southern region. Located in the northern Frankland River sub region, its recent vintages are returning to the style and structure upon which they developed their reputation. Leading the current releases are the Melaleuca Riesling from 2016 (95/100, drink 2028-2036), a wine of classical perfume, purity and longevity, plus the elegant and restrained Blackbutt blend of red Bordeaux varieties from 2010.
