Grosset Gaia Cabernet Blend 1998
A sumptuous and massively concentrated Bordeaux blend which despite its power and strength retains elegance and style. Its fragrance of crushed vine leaves, black berries and cedary chocolate oak has a meaty, musky note, while its deep and minty palate is simply an exercise in craftily controlled intensity and ripeness.

Grosset
Grosset is rightly known the world over for the spectacular quality and charm of its two key individual vineyard rieslings, the Polish Hill and the Springvale, both of which are graded with a Five Star rating, the only pair of rieslings from a single maker to achieve this level of recognition. While Grosset's current releases are all of genuine style and quality, I'm paying particular attention to the 2012 Gaia cabernet blend, which is by far the best wine under this label for many a year.
