Earthy, faintly mineral aromas of dark plums, dark cherries, cedar/dark chocolate oak and gravelly undertones reveal suggestions of meatiness and licorice. It's medium to fullish in body, with a juicy, fiery core of bright, faintly confectionary dark cherry, plum and berry flavours underpinned by fine, grippy tannins. True to variety, it finishes with some savoury, meaty aspects and a distinctive acidity.
