A polished, smooth and elegant cabernet blend of AlkoomiÕs typically unctuous and dark-fruited style. Its confiture-like fragrance of blackberries, dark plums and cassis reveals herbal undertones of crushed vine leaves and cedary oak. Silky and refined, the palateÕs deep fruit flavours and dusty, lightly smoky vanilla oak are coated by fine tannins. Tightly focused, it finishes with a tangy note of dark olives.

Alkoomi
Alkoomi was one of the founding vineyards of the Great Southern region. Located in the northern Frankland River sub region, its recent vintages are returning to the style and structure upon which they developed their reputation. Leading the current releases are the Melaleuca Riesling from 2016 (95/100, drink 2028-2036), a wine of classical perfume, purity and longevity, plus the elegant and restrained Blackbutt blend of red Bordeaux varieties from 2010.
