Well handled, but slightly under and overripe, this creamy, leesy chardonnay reveals nuances of green olives, cashews, wheatmeal and dried flowers beneath its broad, juicy expression of slightly candied and tropical fruit. ItÕs slightly hard and lacks great length, and while it will drink well over the shorter term, itÕs just a little under and overripened.

Grosset
Grosset is rightly known the world over for the spectacular quality and charm of its two key individual vineyard rieslings, the Polish Hill and the Springvale, both of which are graded with a Five Star rating, the only pair of rieslings from a single maker to achieve this level of recognition. While Grosset's current releases are all of genuine style and quality, I'm paying particular attention to the 2012 Gaia cabernet blend, which is by far the best wine under this label for many a year.
