An honest, generously flavoured Barossa shiraz whose ripe, jammy expression of red and black berries, cassis, plums and sweet, lightly toasty vanilla oak reveals meaty, mocha-like undertones. Soft and juicy, its forward and immediately approachable palate has a gentle, fine structure and a lingering finish of small dark fruits, cloves and licorice. Just lacks the length and intensity for a higher rating.
