Delicately scented with a floral perfume, tropical fruits, lemon rind and zest of lime, this very elegant, finely structured and refined riesling will surely cellar well. Lean and austere, its piercingly pure citrus flavours build slowly in the mouth, delivered over a chalky backbone. It culminates in a lingering, dry and savoury finish of fresh mineral acids.

Mount Horrocks
Mount Horrocks is a long-established small Clare Valley producer whose range includes a delightfully fresh and faintly smoky barrel-fermented Semillon and the popular regional dessert wine benchmark of Cordon Cut Riesling. While its shapely Riesling is typical of the region, the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon each delivered finely crafted wines from the 2013 vintage.
