Winery
Heggies Vineyard
The Heggies Vineyard is situated some 550 metres above sea level in the Eden Valley region, a natural home to riesling but also able to produce chardonnay of similar flavour profile to that of the Adelaide Hills, but perhaps of a rounder, plumper style. The whites share the fine-grained undercarriage of chalky texture that stands Eden Valley table wines apart from so many others. It's particularly sad since they have recently been discontinued, but the Reserve releases are actually of genuine merit since they have been generally high-quality wines released with genuine bottle-age.
