Heathcote Estate
Heathcote EstateŐs wines are made by a talented team headed by Tom Carson. Its principal wine, the Shiraz, hit best-ever form in 2010, followed up in 2011 with a lighter result with less density and ripeness, but rebounded in 2012 and 2013 with releases of typical richness and strength. There have so far been different releases from four individual Blocks of shiraz, of which the current Block C from 2012 (96/100, drink 2024-2032+) is a fragrant, pepper and mineral wine that delivers well above its asking price of around $60.
