Grosset Piccadilly Chardonnay 2009
Stylish, elegant and focused, with a complex, nutty, mealy and lightly smoky bouquet whose pineapple, peach, melon and grapefruit aromas are backed by fresh creamy vanilla oak and spicy notes of ginger, clove and cinnamon. ItÕs luscious, long and mouthfilling, with nuances of custard beneath its peach/melon fruit, but itÕs tight-knit and finely crafted, extending towards a streamlined, racy finish of lemony acids.

Grosset
Grosset is rightly known the world over for the spectacular quality and charm of its two key individual vineyard rieslings, the Polish Hill and the Springvale, both of which are graded with a Five Star rating, the only pair of rieslings from a single maker to achieve this level of recognition. While Grosset's current releases are all of genuine style and quality, I'm paying particular attention to the 2012 Gaia cabernet blend, which is by far the best wine under this label for many a year.
