d’Arenberg The Dry Dam Riesling 2011
A bright and balanced attempt at a sweeter riesling with a penetrative, lightly musky and floral bouquet of lime juice, lemon sherbet, pear and apple scented with white flowers. ItÕs juicy and generous, with intense flavours of pear, apple and lime juice underpinned by a fine, pithy chalkiness, finishing with richness and sweetness balanced by tangy, lemon-like acids. The fruit would possibly lend itself better to a drier wine.
