With its opening in the mid 1980s, Domaine Chandon not only reinvented AustraliaŐs approach and attitude towards sparkling wine, but it single-handedly created a market for cool climate-grown sparkling wines from classic Champagne varieties. The excellent 2010 sparkling wines reveal more poise and balance than those from the slightly disappointing 2011 vintage, while the flat table wines still struggle to marry genuine depth of fruit with structure and extension
