Rick Burge's releases typically represent an honest and natural expression of vintage conditions as seen through the eyes of an experienced and style-focused winemaker. One might think he has a foot inside the Barossa Đ since his wines are typically deep in flavour and tend to lacks shyness in the ripeness department Đ but he might also have another foot planted elsewhere in a cooler location since they are becoming steadily finer and more elegant, moving in almost a savoury direction. The current wines confirm this, with more emphasis on brightness of fruit and freshness.
