Anderson is a small and thoughtful producer of traditional wine styles from Rutherglen. The reds are typically generous, deeply flavoured and occasionally released with genuine bottle age. They're assertive and occasionally a little blocky in their youth but have a proven ability to age in the cellar. Howard Anderson is deeply committed to this region and the wines that have made it famous. The wines under his label often reveal considerable thought and detail, and can develop intriguing complexity. The complex, creamy and savoury Methode Traditionelle (Sparkling) Shiraz is a regional classic.
