$24.00Jeremy’s score 91/100Luscious, deeply flavoured and finely balanced, this excellent durif presents an almost bloody and sour-edged expression of dark cherry, plum and berry flavour backed by typical varietal notes of roasting meats and dried herbs: bay leaf and oregano especially. There’s an undercurrent of dark chocolate and a lingering note of black jelly bean. A superb red for a very good barbecue.

$24.00Jeremy’s score 89/100Deep, dark and profoundly ripe, earthy and leathery, this classically rich and powerfully fruited Rutherglen shiraz delivers impactful plum, berry and prune-like flavour with gentle oak and meaty undertones. Its bouquet is underpinned by scents of the roasting tray, while there’s plenty of fine, drying tannins beneath its sumptuous core of fruit that will enable it to develop for at least a decade.
