House of Arras
Based in Tasmania and the brainchild of sparkling wine genius Ed Carr, The House of Arras is now by some margin the leading and most aspirational sparkling wine project in Australia and possibly finest in the world outside Champagne. As ever, its current range is simply breathtaking, with the 2005 Arras Grand Vintage joined by a magnificently complex and textured EJ Carr Late Disgorged 2002, the 2005 release of the Blanc de Blancs plus a suave and stylish Vintage RosŽ from 2005 (95/100, drink 2013-2017+). The not unspectacular Brut Elite NV completes the range. Labelled as non-vintage, it gives you an idea from which vintage most was sourced by the first digit of the number in the wine's name.
