A short to medium term and slightly jammy red whose pleasingly fresh, briary flavours of blackberries, cassis and dark plums are backed by mocha/coconut oak, suggestions of choc-mint, cloves and cinnamon. Full to medium weight, it’s smooth, supple and rather polished, with an intense, approachable palate underpinned by fine, supple and loose-knit tannin.
Surprisingly elegant, with a brambly, smoky presence of blackberries, cassis and plums, charcuterie meats, dark chocolate and briar backed by spicy, peppery notes. ItÕs smooth and polished, with tightly integrated and evenly balanced sour-edged fruit, sweet oak and fine, bony tannins. It handles its 15% alcohol without being overcooked or dehydrated, building towards a substantial finish of lingering plum and blueberry fruit.
Generous and juicy, this sweet-fruited and spicy young shiraz presents a fresh, peppery aroma of blackberry confiture and sweet chocolate/vanilla oak. Juicy as a jujube, its rather polished but luscious presence of palate-staining flavour is underpinned by a firm but pliant undercarriage, finishing with length and refreshing acidity.
A pretty, smooth and polished early-drinking shiraz. Backed by creamy, chocolatey and cedary oak, its deep, dark and rather meaty expression of blackberries and dark plums reveals spicy undertones of black tea, cloves and cinnamon. Quite forward and concentrated, itÕs supported by silky tannins. While it lacks great length, its juicy, mouthfilling flavours of blackberries, cassis and mulberries slowly reveal more fruit sweetness with aeration.
Forward and minty, this brambly and sweetly fruited shiraz does reveal some under and over-ripened elements at the finish. ItÕs dark and spicy, with stony, bony aromas of dark fruits, cedary oak and a hint of briar. Long and elegant, supported by fine tannins and fresh oak, it delivers blackberry and cassis flavours that thin out towards a slightly more vegetal finish, with raisiny, currant-like notes.
An elegant, fine and measured shiraz of medium to full body. Its pristine bouquet of violets and cassis, raspberries and fresh vanilla/chocolate/coconut ice oak reveals a spicy whiff of white pepper, clove and cinnamon. ItÕs sweetly fruited, smooth and polished, with brightly lit flavours of dark berries and plums backed by fresh oak and supported by a fine-grained extract. It finishes pleasingly long, with hints of minerals and menthol.
Minty aromas of fresh cassis raspberries, blackberries and light cedar/vanilla oak backed by nuances of cola and dried herbs precede a medium to full-bodied palate. Underpinned by loose-knit chalky tannins, its vibrant presence of fresh black and red fruits is tightly knit with cedary oak, finishing with length and focus.
Delicious and supple, this elegant young shiraz has a vibrant, primary perfume of violets, cassis, redcurrants and dark plums backed by scents of mint, sweet toasty vanilla oak and menthol. ItÕs long and measured, with a smooth, brightly lit and evenly paced palate of sweet varietal fruit evenly matched with restrained oak, pliant tannins and refreshing acids, finishing with freshness and balance.
Elegant and earthy, with a spicy, floral and faintly meaty bouquet whose bright aromas of cassis, raspberries and mulberries overlie light vanilla oak influences, a whiff of cracked pepper and clove. Deeply flavoured but medium to full-bodied, itÕs rich and generous, with an old school jamminess and fruit sweetness underpinned by firmish, loose-knit tannins before finishing fresh and savoury.
Medium to full-bodied; laced with minty, juicy small berries and cherries.
