A fragrant and confectionary and rather citrusy riesling whose mineral aromas of lime and lemon precede a soft, juicy and forward palate that finishes with soft acids, but slightly thin and dilute.
A honeyed, beeswaxy and lightly toasty fragrance of lime juice, lemon rind, dried lavender and faint herbal nuances precedes an unusually juicy and rather broad palate for Eden Valley riesling. It’s long and reserved, right in the middle of riesling’s adolescent period, and its fresh apple, pear and limey flavours should develop more complexity and character with time in the bottle.
Showing plenty of development for its age, this toasty and rather waxy riesling has a floral aroma of lime juice and lemon rind. Round and generous Ñ almost broad, even Ñ its slightly candied palate of citrus and green apple flavour finishes slightly spicy and sour-edged. Despite the presence of some steely acids, it just lacks a little focus and tightness.
A slightly old-fashioned style of riesling whose developing toasty, honeyed and buttery bouquet of waxy lime juice and lemon rind precede a taut, lean and focused palate of length and focus. Its fresh, if rather toasty and citrusy palate is supported by a fine undercarriage of chalky phenolics, finishing with a tangy acidity and a pleasing length of crunchy flavour.
An authentic house cellaring style Ð reserved, finely textured and mineral. Its lightly toasty, waxy fragrance of lemon rind, sherbet, minerals and buttery undertones preludes its pithy, citrusy palate whose tightly restrained presence of fruit is underpinned by a fine chalkiness. ItÕs very dry and savoury, tangy and persistent.
A dry, chalky and austere riesling whose waxy, toasty and very floral bouquet of lemon rind and lime juice reveals some chalky, waxy complexity. itÕs long and tangy, with a round, generous and faintly toasty presence of citrusy fruit and a fine, slatey texture, finishing with clean acids and pleasing length.
A complex, dry and savoury riesling whose faintly smoky, waxy and lemony bouquet reveals scents of lime and apple. ItÕs fine and gentle, with a fluffy, faintly chalky texture and a long, restrained presence of lime and lemon flavour that finishes with a fresh, lively acidity and a hint of toasty development.
Very developed, with a complex, nutty, honeyed and buttery bouquet with toasty aromas of lime, lemon rind, yellow peach and a hint of mineral. ItÕs round and generous, with a soft, succulent palate whose evolved, toasty flavours overlie a fine chalkiness, revealing a lingering presence of fruit and waxy, nutty complexity tightly wrapped in a fresh but gentle acidity.
