Thompson Estate
An emergent producer in one of the most competitive wine environments in Australia, Margaret River, Thompson EstateŐs wines are made by Paul Dixon who retains access to the experienced former Leeuwin Estate winemaker Bob Cartwright. Recent seasons have seen significant improvements in the freshness and ripeness of its red wines, seen most clearly to date with the Cabernet Sauvignon. The two white wines are steadily refining their generous, finely balanced and mineral style, hitting high levels of quality in the process. While Thompson's Chardonnay and reds are estate-grown, the SBS is sourced from a cooler and more southerly site.
