Thomas Elenay Shiraz 2019
$55.00
A charming, complex and smoky Hunter shiraz whose bright and almost sour-edged expression of dark plums, berries and cherries overlies some smoky oak and a fine, slatey backbone. Scented with musk and spice, it’s spotlessly bright and medium in weight. A very modern spin on a traditional theme.

Winery
Thomas
Andrew Thomas has fashioned a stable of distinctive Hunter wines from its traditional varieties of shiraz and semillon. What makes them unique is their obvious association with benchmarks from the past, their highly polished, spotless nature and balance, plus something a little less tangible and ethereal that makes them completely delicious. The whites are pure, fresh and mineral, while the reds deliver pristine, intense aromas and flavours with remarkable elegance and savoury charm. Over the years Thomas has steadily added to its range, finding sites able to deliver traditional regional style as well as points of difference to existing wines.
