Musky, spicy and floral, with an alluring perfume of bright redcurrants, and blood plums backed by cedary oak, it's moderately long, soft and approachable, with a very fine spine of slatey tannins. Just a hint of mint and menthol.

The oldest Clare winery, Sevenhill is still operated by the same order of Jesuit priests who bought the land it occupies in 1851.
