Superbly maturing, powerfully scented with dark, ferrous aromas of leathery, dark plums and berries, cedary, chocolatey undertones, whiff of cigarbox and meaty funk. Rich, smooth, fullish in weight but with a refreshingly bright finish of mouthwatering acids, excellent length and drive of searingly intense flavour. Underpinned by drying, ferrous tannins, it's finely balanced and utterly distinctive. It still has plenty to deliver.
