Typically flavoursome and generous, this fine longer-term Hunter semillon opens with a bright and rather punchy bouquet of lime, lemon and melon backed by a whiff of tobacco. Despite its mere 10% alcohol, it's round and powerfully flavoured - if not at all heavy on the palate - with plenty of length and drive. Underpinned by a fine chalkiness, it finishes with a bright lemony acidity.

Scarborough
Now an established second-generation Hunter family, the Scarboroughs are collectively engaged in their eponymous wine company, which releases some very fine and minerally semillon and chardonnay. The 2013 releases hit a very high standard, and the Green Label Semillon suggests that 2014 might easily live up to the expectations for such a fine vintage.
