A sumptuous Heathcote shiraz whose brightly lit bouquet of dark berries, plums and chocolatey oak reveals smoky undertones of roasting meats and bramble. Smooth and seamless, delivering a concentrated expression of dark plums, blackberries and redcurrants, it's tightly knit with fine-grained oak and framed by a chewy extract of gravelly tannin. Despite its richness and generosity, there's more than an element of Rhone-like style about this wine, which finishes with lingering sour-edged fruits, earthiness and a savoury aspect.
