Its fiery core of vibrant, deeply expressive and penetrative flavour tends with elegance and charm over a crunchy spine that settles down into a velvety smoothness. Oliver's Taranga crafts high-class McLaren Vale reds from shiraz, grenache, tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon that reflect Corrina Wright's ability to deliver exceptional regional flavour from a patchwork of different vineyard sites without sacrificing an ounce of elegance or longevity. She also imparts delightful earthy and reductive complexity into the savoury, waxy Fiano while retaining charming freshness and focus in the Vermentino. The vineyard's consistency is evident throughout the 2013 red releases.
