Moorilla
Moorilla Estate was one of the pioneers of Tasmanian wine. Now part of the extraordinary MONA cultural operation, it has now added a more esoteric Cloth Label collection at the sharp end of its range in honour of founder Claudio Alcorso's premier label. It's with the Muse Series, however, that Moorilla's team is really honing their skills. These wines -Ę which until recently were more impressive for their effrontery than their quality -Ę are being drilled into a very impressive collection of significantly more wild and woolly styles than mainstream, but which also deliver a high level of balance and technical competence. Their evolution is fascinating to watch, and I look forward to following their journey.
