Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvee
Champagne
Price Range at Release: $50-$99
Vintage: NV
$ Rel: 90
Composed of more than 85% from Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards, it reveals a complex creamy bouquet of dried flowers, cracked yeast, bright aromas of strawberries, red cherries and stonefruit backed by nuances of mushrooms and dried straw. It's long and richly flavoured, chewy and complex, unfolding an evolved and handsomely fruited palate that finishes fresh and mineral, finishing dry-ish with just a trace of sweetness.

Champagne Bollinger
With 180 ha of vineyards located throughout Champagne, Bollinger is one of the jewels of the region. Its distinctive house style places it towards the more assertive end of the spectrum where it delivers exceptional richness and balance through its range. Unsurprisingly, 60% of its fruit is pinot noir. Part of the Bollinger stamp relates to its tradition of barrel-aging its base wines. With over 4000 aged barrels in its cellars, it has its own resident cooper. It also keeps a large percentage of its reserve wines in magnums and keeps around 1 million of such bottles for eventual blending into cuvees for sale.
