There's remarkable value in this full-flavoured, almost bloody expression of malbec, from its piercingly intense, pastille-like aromas of violets, blackberries and blueberries to its long, complete and polished palate whose penetrative, mouthfilling flavours are underpinned by a fine, slatey backbone. Wonderful for winter or for summer barbecues.

Bleasdale
Bleasdale represents much of the tradition and history of the Langhorne Creek region, and has a proud record of producing flavoursome, sweetly fruited red wines of elegance and longevity, not to mention remarkable value for money. The 2014 collection from Bleasdale is possibly its finest yet. Two examples of note, which reflect the company's steady rise as a maker of wines of genuine finesse are the complex, fragrant and Rh™ne-inspired Powder Monkey Shiraz and the rather fiery and expressive Generations Malbec.
