I was saddened the other day to learn that the Hurley Vineyard (and winery) have been put onto the market by their founders Tricia Byrnes and Kevin Bell. I’ve long rated this brand as one of the Peninsula’s finest makers of pinot noir and I have total respect for the integrity the label has come to represent. However, meeting the needs of 3.6 ha of pinot noir vineyard can take a toll, and so with great sadness the decision to sell was made. If you are interested in walking straight into a top operational vineyard and winery, with a quality track record and reputation, this could be your chance. I very much doubt an estate of this quality will be put up for sale on the Peninsula for a number of years to come. Please call Nick Butler on 0458 672 643 to express an interest.
