A visit yesterday to the Mornington Peninsula to create some video content for this platform clearly proved the exceptional quality of the 2021 and 2022 vintages from top vineyards, although it’s a crying shame that the volumes of 2022 wine, wonderful as the best most certainly are, are so tiny. There’s also currently a strange condition in the region’s vineyards that has resulted in smaller bunch weight than ideal, which at this time at least looks like reducing 2024 crops by around 25-30%.
