I honestly wasn’t aware that at roughly the same time I posted a blog concerning the current status of Australian wine that Wine Australia and Australian Grape & Wine had just released a draft version of their vision for the future, entitled One Grape & Wine Sector Plan. If ever you wanted proof in that neither the government nor industry bodies can do anything meaningful to improve the fates of the businesses that pay for their existence, download it and read it (if you can). Apparently it’s open for comment until 5 February. Mine will be posted here and elsewhere.
