Paringa Estate Pinot Noir 2008

Forward and juicy, this elegant and finely crafted pinot has a scent of rose petals, sweet cherries, white pepper and cinnamon backed by musky spices and restrained oak, with an underlying suggestion of herbal influence. Fine and willowy, supple and sappy, its sweet flavours of cherries, raspberries and redcurrants are underpinned by a fragile, silky backbone. It finishes faintly savoury, with a lingering note of currant and menthol.

Paringa Estate
Paringa Estate has made a name for its deeply ripened, coloured, dark-fruited and spicy Pinot Noir, and its fragrant and peppery Shiraz, both of which have traditionally been given generous treatment in new oak. There has been a steady movement in style at Paringa across both reds and whites towards a more integrated fusion of fruit, tannin and oak.
