George Wyndham (Formerly Wyndham Estate)
George Wyndham is the new name for what has been throughout my wine lifetime known as Wyndham Estate. The brand has completed its transition from New South Wales to South Australia, leaving behind one of the great cellar door facilities and pieces of Australian wine history in the Hunter Valley. One hopes this timepiece can be resurrected by an interested party. Meantime, the wines themselves remained virtually unchanged; in addition to the Bin series featuring a collection of shiraz-based wines blended across a number of South Australian regions. The Black Cluster Shiraz is a fine, typically regional effort from the company's finest Hunter Valley fruit.
