Devil’s Lair Margaret River Cabernet Blend 2001
Rather green-edged and sappy cabernet with clearly shaded dark berry fruit contributing to its herbal vegetative character Some assertive new oak and creamy vanillacedar influences fail to conceal the soupy capsicum influences on the palate that mask its delicate cassis flavours

Devil's Lair
Devil's Lair is a long-established Margaret River brand initially developed by wine, beer and hospitality entrepreneur Phil Sexton. Today, as Treasury Wine Estates' only significant Western Australian brand, it is expanding with the introduction of the high-end 9th Chamber wines (2011 Cabernet Sauvignon 94/100, drink 2023-2031) and the emerging The Hidden Cave and Dance with the Devil tiers of blended wines. Purity of focus and flavour are a consistent feature across the collection, which also features the popular Fifth Leg wines whose quality has just slipped a little.
