Winegrowers in southeastern Australia are anticipating an earlier start to the season than for the three most recent cool vintages. It could hardly be more obvious that it’s quality and quality alone that will save our wine producers, and the prospects are that 2025 will produce a solid, very good crop that is overall a little lower than normal in volume. With imported wines becoming more and more competitive against the locals, whose prices have risen considerably in recent years, it’s imperative that Australian wine makers put their best foot forward. 2025 could well give them the chance to do that.
