Chateau Margaux Premier Grand Cru Classe Cabernet Blend
Bordeaux
Price Range at Release: $500+
Vintage: 2010
$ Rel: 2700
Deeply layered aromas of intense black and red berries, cedar/cigarboxy oak and earthy nuances overly suggestions of mineral and gravel. Long and supple, it's deeply flavoured, finely structured and supremely elegant. Framed by ultra-fine and pliant tannins, it's beautifully shaped but still rather closed.

Chateau Margaux
One of the stellar chateaux of the left bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Margaux was one of the five recognised First Growths of the 1855 Classification. Unquestionably the star performer within the commune of Margaux, its wines typically reflect an elegance and refinement, plus a balance and completeness that enables them to cellar superbly for many decades. The chateau draws from 80ha of red varieties (75% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot) and also has 12 ha planted to sauvignon blanc for its Pavillon Blanc, one of the finest white crafted in Bordeaux.
