Sandalford
Sandalford is a moderately large Margaret River-based producer whose wines have traditionally been very affordably priced. While it is steadily improving quality across its range, the current releases don't quite hit the sweet spot. The Verdelho is strangely overworked, while the reds are rather edgy, with unevenly ripened fruit and some unusual, excessively dominant oak that doesn't seem to integrate.
