McAlister Vineyards
The McAlister is a single-vineyard blend of red Bordeaux varieties in southern Gippsland, Victoria, that typically exhibits vibrant, complex flavours delivered in a refined and elegant package. The 2008 vintage (poor weather prevented a 2007 release) is a classical example of what Peter Edwards seeks to achieve Đ a typically savoury and balanced wine, full of Old World-like style and character, with the promise of longevity and intriguing complexity. It's a true food wine and would be perfect with great red meat dishes and mature, hard cheeses.
