Willem Kurt
Daniel Balzer makes wine from shiraz, chardonnay and vermentino sourced from Beechworth and the Alpine Valleys in north-eastern Victoria. He purchased a site near Beechworth in 2017, which should become the principal source of his wines. Early tastings from me point towards a wine brand whose releases are quite complex, more savoury and Old World in approach, yet also being technically sound. It's certainly a label to watch.
