Savaterre
Savaterre was one of the first vineyards in the Beechworth region. Owner/winemaker Keppell Smith found the site in 1996 and since then it has developed a solid reputation for its distinctively oaked Chardonnay (in particular), as well as for its Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Recent rave reviews of the 2021 releases are in my opinion frankly nonsensical and incorrect. This isn't the fault of their maker, whose responsibility ends when the wine is put into the bottle Đ not what people write about them
