Running With Bulls
A Hill-Smith Family Estates brand, Running With Bulls appeared a few years ago as a fresh new concept for Barossa Valley tempranillo and has since expanded to include a slightly less convincing Wrattonbully example. The wines are bright, intensely varietal; made and packaged in a fashion that suggests they're suited to drinking more than undergoing a deep analysis. I like the idea, and believe it's the way of the future for many early-drinking, flavoursome and refreshing Australian reds from warmer climates.
